Natural skincare for young skin

Made with care, backed by science, built for confidence

Blossom & Beau is a British natural skincare brand on a mission to change the way young girls approach self-care and confidence. Founded by Amanda Johnson, a Wiltshire mother of five and dedicated NHS paramedic of 20 years, the brand was born from a very personal lightbulb moment: noticing that her seven-year-old daughter needed a safe, gentle deodorant, and finding that nothing on the market truly existed for her.

After nearly three years of development, testing, and refinement, Amanda launched Blossom & Beau's debut product: Dazzling Diva, a vegan-friendly, aluminium-free, dermatologically tested natural deodorant roll-on designed specifically for tween and teen girls. Made in the UK using natural ingredients and recycled packaging, every product is crafted with purpose, with as much sourced within a 10-mile radius of the brand's HQ in Warminster.

The challenge

When I began working with Blossom & Beau, the brand had a compelling story and a brilliant product, but limited visibility online. The website lacked the strategic foundations needed to attract organic search traffic, and the brand had not yet established the authority or digital presence that would allow it to stand out in an increasingly competitive natural skincare market.

The opportunity was significant. Parents are actively searching for safer alternatives to adult deodorants for their children, yet the market for tween-specific natural deodorants in the UK remains underserved. Blossom & Beau had a genuine first-mover advantage, it simply needed the right strategy to be found, trusted, and talked about.

The strategy

My approach centred on building a sustainable, search-led foundation for the brand, one that would drive meaningful organic traffic, establish Blossom & Beau as a trusted authority in natural skincare for young skin, and support long-term growth without relying solely on paid channels.

To do this, I:

  • Developed a targeted keyword strategy aligned with high-intent parental search behaviour, from broad discovery terms to specific, conversion-ready queries around natural deodorants for kids

  • Identified content gaps in the market and mapped editorial opportunities across the full buyer journey

  • Ensured all on-site copy and content was grounded in brand storytelling while serving clear SEO intent

  • Built out a blog content strategy designed to capture organic search traffic, answer real parental questions, and position Blossom & Beau as a knowledgeable, trustworthy voice in the natural children's skincare space

Content & blogging

A core part of the strategy was launching and developing Blossom & Beau's blog, a content platform built to educate, reassure, and engage parents navigating the often confusing world of children's personal care.

Each blog post was crafted to target specific, strategically chosen search terms, from informational queries such as the benefits of natural deodorant for kids and ingredients to avoid in children's skincare, to practical guidance around puberty, confidence, and self-care routines for young girls. Beyond driving organic traffic, the blog deepens the brand's narrative and reinforces Amanda's position as a credible, informed founder,  a NHS paramedic and a mother who genuinely understands young skin.

PR and press coverage

Alongside the SEO and content work, I led a targeted PR campaign to raise the brand's profile at launch and beyond. The goal was to secure meaningful coverage in the publications that matter most to Blossom & Beau's audience: parents of pre-teens and teenagers who are actively seeking trusted, natural alternatives for their children.

A carefully crafted press release told Amanda's story — the lightbulb moment, the gap in the market, and the mission behind the brand — and delivered exceptional results. Coverage was secured across a range of leading publications, including Junior Magazine, one of the UK's most respected parenting titles, delivering both outstanding brand awareness and high-quality backlinks that directly strengthened the site's authority and search performance.

PR outcomes included:

  • Feature coverage in Junior Magazine, a leading industry title reaching parents of young children and tweens across the UK

  • Coverage in Your Coffee Break and additional lifestyle and parenting media

  • High-quality editorial backlinks to the Blossom & Beau website, supporting domain authority and long-term organic search growth

  • Exceptional brand exposure at a critical moment in the brand's launch phase, reaching a highly targeted audience of health-conscious parents
